Therapy offered virtually and in-person in Boca Raton, Florida

Welcome to the practice of Ariel Mantzoor, LCSW

Hi and welcome! I’m so glad to have you here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel both hopeful and uncertain, and my goal is to make this space feel safe, genuine, and welcoming from the very beginning. Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you; it’s about slowing down, listening inward, and understanding what your mind and body have been trying to say. In our work together, you’ll find warmth, honesty, and space to simply be…no judgment, no pressure. Take your time exploring my site to learn more about how I work and what therapy with me can look like.

Specialties

  • Living with anxiety or depression can feel exhausting, like your mind never stops racing or you’re weighed down by a heaviness you can’t quite shake. Together, we’ll work to explore where these feelings come from, the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be fueling them, and develop a plan that’s personalized to your needs. My approach is collaborative and flexible, blending insight, practical tools, and emotional support to help you feel calmer, more balanced, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges. Whether it’s using cognitive behavioral therapy to help you reframe unhelpful thought patterns and feel more in control of your mind, EMDR to process difficult memories and reduce emotional triggers, or mindfulness-based techniques to bring you back to the present — we’ll find the approach that best supports your healing and growth.

  • Trauma and PTSD can leave a lasting impact, affecting how you feel, think, and navigate daily life. Even when you understand your patterns or have tried talk therapy, distressing memories or triggers can continue to hold you back. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps process these memories and reduce their emotional intensity. I am a trained EMDR therapist with extensive experience supporting clients who have experienced a wide range of trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, assaults, relationship abuse, complex trauma, military-related trauma, narcissistic abuse, phobias, and other distressing life experiences. In sessions with me, we work together in a safe, structured way to process these challenging memories, helping you feel more grounded, present, and better able to move forward in life.

  • Recent years have been especially challenging for many Jewish people, with rising antisemitism and attacks that can feel deeply personal and retraumatizing. For those of us with family histories marked by persecution or the Holocaust, these current events can stir intergenerational trauma, resurfacing fear, grief, and anxiety that may have been passed down. I understand how isolating it can feel when it seems like others “don’t get it.” As a Jewish therapist and grandchild of Holocaust survivors, I have worked with this community for many years, offering support that is informed, empathetic, and culturally aware. In therapy, we can explore the impact of these experiences, process generational and current trauma, and help you feel understood, supported, and less alone in your journey.

While this is an area of specialization for me, I recognize that many groups have been oppressed, attacked, or marginalized and continue to experience trauma. I work with clients from all backgrounds, bringing cultural awareness, sensitivity, and openness to every therapeutic relationship.

  • Relationships can be incredibly rewarding, but they can also bring challenges that feel hard to navigate alone. Couples therapy can help partners communicate more effectively, rebuild trust, manage conflict, and better understand each other’s needs. I have worked with couples facing a wide range of issues, from communication struggles, resentment, and loss of intimacy to betrayals and major life transitions. Together, we create a safe, non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard, supported, and empowered to work as a team to strengthen and grow their relationship.

  • Grief can take many forms, whether it’s the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a change in health, or the loss of the future you once imagined. It’s deeply personal, often complicated, and never looks the same for any two people. Earlier in my career, I spent several years as a bereavement group facilitator and counselor, guiding individuals and families through the loss of loved ones. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the many ways grief shows up and taught me how to create a space where people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Everyone’s grief is different, and in therapy we work together to find the approach that fits your needs. Often, this involves creating a safe space to explore your emotions, process and normalize your experiences, and reflect on the impact of your loss while building strategies to navigate life moving forward. Together, we work toward healing, not by forgetting, but by learning how to carry what you’ve lost while still moving forward.
